• DESCRIPTION
High silica chopped strands are made by cutting high silica yarn into short lengths, forming an inorganic fiber designed for high-temperature insulation and reinforcement applications. Made from high-purity silica glass fiber, these chopped strands combine excellent thermal stability with reliable chemical performance.
With SiO₂ ≥96% and a filament diameter of 6–9 μm, the high purity silica fiber yarn maintains stable chemical properties without brittleness, dissolution, or volatilization under high-temperature conditions. Its softening point reaches approximately 1700°C, enabling continuous use in applications with temperatures up to 1000°C.
As a high-performance high temperature silica yarn material, it provides an effective alternative to asbestos and conventional ceramic fibers. High purity silica glass fiber yarn and High silica glass fiber chopped yarn offer durable thermal insulation performance with improved safety and environmental benefits.
